Overview
CRONIMET, founded in 1980, in Germany, with two initial operating sites, has become one of the world's leading recycling companies involved in trading and processing secondary raw materials for the stainless steel industry.
CRONIMET commenced operations in the United States in September 1997, as the CRONIMET Corporation. Within six months of their arrival in the United States, CRONIMET opened additional processing facilities in Houston, TX, and Chicago, IL; and joint ventures were formed with companies in Philadelphia, PA and Linden, NJ.
Our New Jersey facility is exclusively involved in the processing and trading of tungsten carbide raw materials.
CRONIMET established an additional processing facility in Decatur, AL. in 1998 and in March of 2000 opened CRONIMET Brasil Ltda., in Sao Paulo, to strategically link it's us and international businesses.
CRONIMET has grown from one facility with eight employees to a international corporation with more than 85 employees, and seven facilities, processing over 250,000 tons of secondary raw materials for the stainless and specialty steel industry.
CRONIMET's constant pursuit of innovation and expansion into new markets, has allowed up to achieve a leading position in a rapidly expanding global stainless steel market. As part of this strategic growth, CRONIMET has invested in internal systems capable of meeting our customers and suppliers constantly changing needs. Our administrative expertise, which includes consulting services, order processing, stock keeping and logistics, is supported by the latest information systems technology, producing the shortest delivery time.
As part of our constant commitment to quality management, CRONIMET achieved ISO 9002 certification in less than 18 months after incorporation.
