Overview
Through our commitment, we wish, amongst others, to cut back on our use of natural raw materials. Material created during the working and processing of stainless steel and metals is carefully prepared for further use, and put back into the raw materials cycle in an environmentally friendly manner.
At the same time, we wish to support our client Ugine&ALZ, in the ever-expanding market for stainless steel, through various means including just-in-time deliveries. The high flexibility of our staff enables us to respond quickly to clients’ requests. Our facility is located close to the motorway, and has a direct shipping link via the Albertkanaal, and a direct rail connection to our client ALZ.
Our modern machines and installations include, amongst others, a locomotive and 30 of our own wagons, allowing us to transport ordered goods at any time. In addition, we have a turnings crusher, a press, an innovative demulsifier installation, two furnace halls equipped with the latest environmentally friendly filter technology, and also innovative coalescent separators. Uninterrupted monitoring of radioactivity is guaranteed by a checking system for trucks and wagons, and by mobile systems in the grapples for transfers from ships.
To be able to guarantee an extra high standard of quality control we use, amongst others, a Siemens X-ray spectrometer, an ARL Quantris emission spectrometer, mobile Niton appliances, as well as the other machines and installations necessary for the technical analysis of NE-Metals and stainless steel scraps.
Our facility is in excess of 25,000m2 with large sheds making it possible to store larger quantities of scrap of the most diverse qualities.
