After a year and a half of planning, developing and constructing, the new processing machine for turnings has started running at Metalloy at the end of 2009. With this additional investment in the segment superalloys CRONIMET underlines its long-term commitment to invest and to expand in this important future market.
From 01.02.2010 on Mr. Kai Lohmann as managing director of CRONIMET Holding will take over the management of the investment and group company portfolio of the CRONIMET Holding Group. Thus he will leave the management of CRONIMET Ferroleg. GmbH at that date.
After many years of services John Slotboom has retired from the the Management Board of CRONIMET (Holland) BV. And Michael Sutter has joined the management board of Cronimet Belgium as Head of Purchasing/Trading.
CRONIMET Corporation of Rochester, PA, announces the departure of its’ President and CEO, Juergen F. Mross, effective December 1, 2009. He will continue in an advisory role to the company thru 2010. Mr. Mross, who was co-founder of CRONIMET Corporation, has held the executive management position since September 1997.
The Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine GAG (ZCMC) mine in Kajaran (Armenia), which is majority owned by the CRONIMET Group, Karlsruhe (Germany) has successfully mastered the economic crises. In October, when the economic crisis started, ZCMC was in the final phase of a large investment program for an amount of more than $200 million. Ore processing was increased from 8.5 million tons in 2005 - when the mine was acquired from the Armenian State - to app. 12 million tons in 2008.
