Managing Director (m/f) Pune (India)
Currently we are expanding our business in India with the objective to establish one of the biggest stainless steel recycling companies in India. Design the future with us and take comprehensive responsibility with a focus on the commercial and organizational side of the business. Together with the current Managing Director – who is responsible for all trading activities – you will ensure a continuous, structured growth of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and further development of the Indian organization – including corporate, legal, investment, financial, tax, accounting and HR aspects
- Close collaboration with local authorities, institutions and other stakeholders
- Continuing to hire new staff to enlarge and strengthen the current team
- Ensuring effective co-operation and communication with the Headquarters in Germany (Karlsruhe)
- Maintaining and expanding current partnerships with customers and suppliers as well as exploring and developing new business opportunities in the Indian stainless steel market
Qualifications / Skills:
- Degree in Business Administration/Economics
- Evidence of successful management of a mid-size business unit/organization within an international company – ideally raw material or recycling industry
- Co-operative team player with superior written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience in working in a management environment and developing and maintaining collaborative internal and external relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, co-operative and facilitation skills as part of interfacing with various levels of management and external bodies and agencies
- Intercultural sensitivity, especially in a German-Indian environment
- Organizational and planning capability
- Language skills: English fluent, German beneficial
