CRONIMET has been supplying raw materials for the stainless steel-producing industry for four decades. The family business has grown into a global company with around 1,600 employees in this important supply sector. CRONIMET is a worldwide specialist in stainless steel scrap, ferroalloys and primary metals. The company is now established on six continents with around 70 subsidiaries, partnerships and representative offices on the global procurement and sales markets for secondary raw materials.

FAMILIY
We offer our staff nursery places in Karlsruhe, a 50% subsidy for nursery fees (max. 300 euros per child per month) and free online tutoring at all locations. You can even ask to bring your dog with you too.

PAY

WORK-LIFE-BALANCE
We offer flexible hours and remote working on two days a week, where possible. At most locations, the recycling team works in one or two shifts. As well as 30 days of holiday, we also offer staff the chance to bank their pay for a sabbatical.

Our staff receive structured and professional introductory training and support from job mentors who are there to help in the first days and answer any questions. We encourage staff to take advantage of opportunities for personal and professional development.
EVENTS
Success should be celebrated. The Christmas party has a new theme each year. We get together in summer too and have an international football tournament with teams from our global locations. Our teams also meet regularly for discussions and team building.
ACTIVITIES
We regularly take part in external sports events. Our staff in Karlsruhe keep fit with the company sports club and play table football or table tennis during breaks.

OUR COMPANIES IN GERMANY
CRONIMET Cremetal GmbH
CRONIMET CREMETAL GmbH was established in 2003 and has been operating at two sites (Karlsruhe and Annweiler) since 2008 with up to 25 employees. It is a market leader in the recycling of metals from crematoria in Europe and disposal of the filter dust that is produced. The company also began providing recycling services for metals from hospitals and medical practices in 2021.
CRONIMET Dortmund GmbH
CRONIMET Dortmund is located directly in the port in the Innenstadt-Nord area of the city and covers approximately 60,000 square meters. The site has direct access to the Dortmund–Ems Canal, enabling the company to load materials onto ships. CRONIMET Dortmund also has a rail link.
The main focus here is the recycling of stainless steel and special alloys. There are plans to also start processing titanium chips. There are currently 43 employees working at CRONIMET Dortmund in the purchasing, scrap processing, analysis, logistics and operations teams – keeping valuable raw materials in the loop for a true circular economy and a sustainable future.
CRONIMET Envirotec GmbH
CRONIMET Envirotec GmbH provides a sustainable recycling solution for waste sludge, filter dust, filter cakes, powders, mill scale and similar industrial waste containing metals. This waste is processed at the Bitterfeld-Wolfen site in two plants that are unique in the world. By closing the raw materials loop, the CRONIMET Envirotec process with its vacuum distillation and high-strength briquette production represents a sustainable innovation – unlike other disposal methods. This enables a full recovery process, from the acceptance of (hazardous) waste and processing, through to recycling of the raw materials. The extracted materials can then be returned to the materials loop as recycled grinding oil, raw metal or alloys for foundries or steelworks, for example, or be used as landfill construction materials.
CRONIMET Ferroleg. GmbH
CRONIMET Ferroleg. GmbH trades and recycles stainless steel scrap. In addition to this core competence, the company is also expert in the recycling of high-speed steel, tool steel, tungsten carbide, titanium, super and special alloys, and foundry scrap. Its regional roots in the Karlsruhe Rhine harbour area go back 40 years. From here, it works for business partners as a globally active company.
CRONIMET Raw Materials GmbH
As a specialist group company with branches in Karlsruhe and Duisburg, CRONIMET Raw Materials GmbH is active in the trade of ferroalloys and metals (bulk goods and powder), as well as milling and screening of these raw materials. It is an integral part of the Raw Materials unit, which reliably supplies external customers and CRONIMET companies with high-quality primary raw materials to the desired specifications.
ERG - Edelstahl Recycling GmbH
ERG in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, has been a member of the CRONIMET Group since 1995.
The subsidiary recycles and trades stainless steel scrap. Based in the port area of Aschaffenburg, the company has direct access to the water and a link to the rail network – giving it ideal options for environmentally friendly transport.
Metalloy Metalle-Legierungen GmbH
Metalloy Metalle-Legierungen GmbH was founded in 1974 and has been part of the CRONIMET Group since 2006. The company is based in Norderstedt and has 21 employees.
Metalloy’s core segment lies in recycling, trade and processing services for high-performance alloys (HPA) based on nickel, cobalt and titanium.
